The charming village of Pickleford is a small English village where nothing much ever happens. It has a Church, a tiny village shop, a pub and, of course, a ford. The last major excitement here was when FARMER TOMs cows escaped from their field and went on the rampage in the churchyard, and that was 5 years ago! Then one sunny day in July, something happens. Some of the villagers and a family of American tourists end up being forced to take shelter in the church by the army. They are not allowed to leave as something dangerous has been accidently released into the atmosphere around the village and they are told that to leave is to die. The regular announcements make no real sense to anyone and no one really knows what going on or who is in charge.

 

 

Will they find out the truth? Is the danger real? Will they ever be released? Will they survive the strain of living with each other in a confined space? Tune in to find out!
